Claire Contreras is many things — a New York Times Bestselling author, breast cancer survivor, mother, and wife.

Thanks to her boredom and rebellious nature, she has an affinity to genre-jump, so in her backlist, you can find anything from contemporary romance, to sports romance, to romantic suspense, to books she can only describe as, “Weird, but romantic?”

Despite the genre-jumping, all of her stories are multicultural and feature strong heroines (Claire has never met a weak woman --- they just don’t exist), found families (because she doesn’t know where she’d be without hers), and heroes who fall first, harder, are kind of obsessed with the heroine and always trying to impress her (because that’s the hero she married 17 years ago).

Claire was born in the Dominican Republic, raised in Miami, and lives in North Carolina, where she spends her days marveling at the beautiful sky and forcing her family to marvel along with her.

Since starting her publishing journey in 2013, she has written over 25 romance novels, which have been translated into over 20 languages.

Claire gave up social media a couple of years ago, but according to her horoscope, she can’t reach her full potential if she’s always hiding, so she’s trying to get back out there this year. Maybe.

    I have a type. I do. I have a type. It's not my fault Contreras saw me coming a mile away with my "mafia bad boy" neediness.

    It's not my fault that Dominic is perfection. Nope. You can't blame my "moth to a flame" reaction. I won't blame Contreras for my new addiction. I won't even say I'm Mrs. De Luca in front of my husband- but I might think it!

    I loved Dominic and Rosie's story. In the first 2 books, I loved his personality so I was ready to get inside his head. He's not at all afraid to be himself and just say whatever he's thinking. Rosie is a great female lead. Definitely love the Hispanic representation that keeps mingling throughout the series as Rosie was Dominican. It's sad though that these characters have been forced to stay in the survival lane due to their parents and the horrific past they share.     I love mafia books and those type of books but this one didn’t hit for me. It seem to drag on and the descriptions didn’t completely match. I liked the beginning but then it just drag and lost its momentum. I would give it two stars but the ending was good. I like how it ending with them all together as a happy family. So that was its saving grace or it would be a two. This book took me a while to finished because I got so bored. I wouldn’t recommend this book just because it was eh and kind of wish I didn’t read it but it’s whatever. 3/5

    I love the dynamic duo between Dominic and Rocco. Their partnerships my god I wish I had that or brothers alike.

    All characters were amazing Dominic and Roselyn are amazing together.

    Lots of secrets,drama, and just traumatizing experiences are all in this book. I’m really looking forward to reading about Rocco.

    There is a lot to take in in the first few chapters of the book as the author throws a lot of names out. You really need to read the books in order or you may loose the plot. Rosie has known the brothers Dom and Gabriel since they where young, they suffered the same tragedy when their mothers were killed. It is part of the mafia life. Dom always wanted Rosie but stayed away because his brother got there first only to find out 10 years later that they had never slept together and were just friends. Dom is desperate to protect Rosie when danger lurks and he tries to understand his need to make her his.
